On our first night in Vegas last week, we had the pleasure to dine at Shintaro in the Bellagio. This Japanese restaurant offers a delightful array of cuisine from a sushi bar, to Teppan dining where the chef cooks at your table, to regular dining room service. We opted for the regular dining room where we discovered a 5 course chef’s tasting menu.
We neglected to take notes and the Shintaro menu is not posted on the Bellagio web site, so I can’t recall all of the courses we had. However, I will say if you even remotely like Japanese food, Shintaro will not cease to amaze.
Each course was paired with wine–traditionally a tough job with Japanese cuisine. The food is Japanese, and I would say, perfected with the use of French technique. The fish was very fresh. We recommend Shintaro on your next trip to Las Vegas.
